Looking to fly to a few Asian destinations via PEK from AKL on Air China. Flights are half the price when booked with Air China than when booked on Air NZ's website (what the hell). From what I can tell from the AirNZ website the AKL-PEK segments should earn APs and SPs as NZ metal (the booking class is eligible) as a partner airline. Nowhere does it say on the page, or the Airpoints T&Cs, that to earn APs and SPs the ticket must have an NZ flight number.

Can anyone confirm if this approach will earn the metal SPs and count towards the journey boost?
As an edit: the other partner airlines United and Cathay specifically state on their respective pages the flight can be operated by UA or CX but must have an NZ flight number. The requirement for an NZ flight number on the Air China page is absent.
