I can't imagine AC would do something like this
As airlines treat points more like a currency with ever-escalating dynamic pricing, as opposed to giving away empty seats to frequent flyers, it becomes more and more logical to award status credit for reward bookings. DL awards MQD on redemption tickets, although I'm not aware of any others. This is actually something I've been wondering whether we might see from these changes.

For PoT, OMAAT, VFTW, etc, this is their livelihood. They need access to airline execs to continue to get special/early info that lets them produce the content that earns then a living, give them comped flights or status or whatever, advertise their co-branded CCs, etc.

No one who shared info with me that led to this thread being created is in that position, and I'm certainly not.

I will be interested to see how quickly a certain bovine will update his PNR viewer after the changes are announced.

I expect it be immediate but I could be completely wrong.
As someone who has contributed a fair amount of work to that tool - albeit none of the really hard stuff - I wouldn't hold my breath. Some of it may be fairly simple, but if they're earning at some specified ratio on some partner flights that are different from other flights, and some partners have dollar-based earning while others are still distance, that will all take time.
