Historically speaking, the service on AA has been on a downward trend for decades, whether it's on a 1100-mile flight or a transcon flight (LAX-JFK), in-flight service has sucked. When the A321T were introduced, the service was reduced again, why? Galley space in F was cut by 3/4 of what it was on the 767. Portions have gotten smaller and smaller. The new A321XLR will have basically the same galley as the A321 T., I'm sure there are a few differences. PE meals will come from the Y galley as they do on international flights. Will AA do a second meal service when the A321XLR starts flying? I'm assuming, yes, since UA does. AA made a huge mistake taking off a widebody on the premium transcon service, and it's showing.
