Aspire is pretty dead because the Chase Lounge takes PP. It's essentially an overflow when the Chase Lounge gets backed up other than J class pax for JAL/BA on their flights out in the afternoon, or for the AS/AA lounge members that don't have Priority Pass.
Tried the Aspire lounge yesterday around noon and it had a line 15+ outside that wasn't moving. I assume this was due to the JAL flight, but was still surprised. I thought this didn't happen anymore after the Chase lounge opens.
It will be great to have an expanded Alaska Lounge. Bummer it won't be open for a couple more years. I assume the Aspire Lounge will be completely unavailable once construction starts. Presumably BA/JAL will try to contract with Chase during the construction period? I imagine AS/AA lounge members will be SOL.
