10 percent off plus member rate is 15 percent total which is what the new membership offers. I guess it's not stackable with promotions but overall not a major downgrade.
50 to 30 percent dining is a downer but at the same time I appreciate that it's a flat reduction regardless of number of diners - I travel a lot for work and add a solo vacation on top so I often dine in a hotel restaurant alone, where I used to get 25 percent off.
The discounts are equivalent essentially to the ALL Plus voyageur rates in most cases (maybe slightly more for ALL Plus which can go up to 20 percent on higher end). Plus compared to APV the price is essentially the same and you get two free nights? No brainer that APV is basically dead no one should sign up for it.
Overall I think it's an enhancement with a couple draw backs. I'll be signing up again.
I also think it's an enhancement.
About the discount, if I understand well, the new 15% is not stackable with the automatic discount for ALL member. Before we had 10% + 5%, now it's 15% + 0%, so basically the same, we don't loose or gain anything.
However we will be loosing on the special offers.... at least they didn't touch the Red hot rooms!
For the dinner discount, only people loosing are tables of 2 or 3. All the other ones win.
Overall quite happy with those changes and it will make me book more nights worldwide so I guess it's a win-win!
And I agree: very hard to justify the ALL Voyageur now, you have to spend a very big amount of money on Luxury brands to make the 5% extra discount worth it over Accor+.
