Booked classic room on the best flexible rate and was upgraded to King Bed Premium Riverview room with lounge access

How are the rooms?
Very large 40sqm room on the 27th floor with a 120 degree view of the city and river. Bed was very comfortable, a/c worked perfectly, enough storage space for 2-3 people, desk for working was great, minibar within a small fridge, soaking tub, his/her sick, and a rainfall shower/toilet that were separated by glass.


How is the exec. lounge?
Layout and seating was excellent, Honestly would be a great IC lounge layout wise with views from both sides of the lounge. I wasn't allowed access to breakfast but high tea time was served as a traditional set with made to order coffee and tea. For evening service, there were made to order cocktails and wine/beer choices. Dinner set came with 10 choices whether you came as a couple or single person. Therefore, coming alone would net you enough for a small dinner. I was offered refills on both the tea and evening service set as well! There were nuts, dried fruit, tea, and a with sodas and beer that you could drink throughout the day. I had no problem ordered a meal from the restaurant and eating it in the lounge while taking in some free beers


What was good and what was bad?
Location is great for those looking to explore the more local side of Danang. Bike ride to the beach would be about 15 minutes on bike.
Lounge service and layout
Gym is perfectly adequate for a Crown Plaza
Pool is ok but large enough that two people can do laps.
I was able to check in at 10am

Bad:
Not being allowed to have breakfast in the lounge even with the lounge pass. This is no where to be found on the site but I was too at check in. Luckily, its not the worst thing in the world as there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance for breakfast.



Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Absolutely. Rates are normally around 60 use without applying any visa discounts so excellent value on the cash rate. I am unsure between this hotel and the Voco of which is better. Location of the beach is great for the Voco so you get a great view and the CP has the better location for trying out local restaurants and spots near the river along. I'd stay here if I wanted more of a staycation and wanted to eat local food. The Voco for exploring Danang and partying due to being close to the beach
