cathay customer service after i requested the selection of one of the alternate meals - one of their standard offerings.
during the discussion of the alternate meal, they mentioned that they couldn't provide a requested small item and they'd ask on my behalf to be sure. when he called me back, that was when he told me caviar only hkg-jfk, and not jfk-hkg. several hours later, he called me back once again(!) to apologize and told me that he has the incorrect information, which i had told him already since on all of my previous trips on Cathay of this route, and many other airlines, they always include caviar service as a standard for first class.
anyway, i thanked him for his correction at the end and that was that.
thank YOU for your confirmation that this customer service individual was incorrect during his first call to me and he corrected himself several hours later.
