I get that things change but it's a terrible look to increase the cost within a minute.
After a lot of back of forth it seems this upgrade went through though no confirmation email received and my booking still says EuroTraveller with CE seats.

BA say it’s an IT issue being reported. So just a heads up.

Due to this I am still able to “upgrade” the booking albeit at the higher price.
