Some of it depends on the season, how late we arrive, how early our departure is the next morning, etc. For the most part, I seek out hotels within the terminal or that have a reliable (seriously reliable) shuttle that is wheelchair accessible. If I have status, so much the better (though for one night, it hardly matters).
