HA sends these out at the end of each January to Pualani gold and platinum members. They are only valid is space is available when you check in on the day of travel. They work a lot of the time, but obviously not during peak travel. They allow you to upgrade to or from an outer island as well, which may not matter, inasmuch as Pualani qualify for automatic 24 hour inter-island space available upgrades.
