It's a very nice hotel - great location though pretty touristy due to being near the Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps.
We did get breakfast included without status but this seemed pretty commonplace within Italy. Breakfast was actually great and we took our meal in the courtyard. The inside of the hotel is almost like a museum and it was easily the nicest hotel we stayed in while we traveled around Italy. We actually went from a pretty terrible, small hotel in Siena to this place and it was a massive jump.
Pool is very nice place to relax - and it was very hot in Rome in early July. The gym shares the same basement space with the gym, sauna, steam room so the gym got very hot (was the first and only gym I got during two weeks in Italy). With that said, its a nice gym and I was the only one in there - if you got more than 2 people in there, it could feel cramped.
I requested a non-courtyard facing room but I was assured that the patio would close down by 9-10pm (this sounded suspect) and that the rooms had sound-proof window. Well, one night it was fine and we weren't really bothered but the second night (which was a Saturday) got pretty loud and the windows are definitely not "sound proof." I'm not sure if they were having an event but I think it probably went until midnight.
The bar is nice but pretty pricey - hotel prices for cocktails and wine. Service was reasonable for a five star hotel - the staff was very helpful with our limited exposure.
