Low-effort checked the IB app for the LON-YUL redemptions and for today Aug04 it's showing next year Jul23, at 09H YUL time there are Y and Ws for all three flight but no Js; no idea when BA releases the Js (to IB+) and whether one can even book it through the IB app (in time).

The Ws, if valuing the avios at 0.01 work out to be 1k eur per way.
If doing MAD-LON-YVR, the TFC are lower but the avios is higher; but still 1k per direction so 2k return, in W....erm...can book these for 1Kish cash and earn the avios and EPs....

So back to IB DFW/LAX/SFO...DFW also uses the A330s and DFW-YVR cash fares are very high (not even sure if I can get redemptions). SFO being a UA/AC hub, AS cash fares are very competitive (especially since have to change at SEA; vs direct on UA/AC). LAX fares not as competitive...but I save 10k x2 avios to LAX vs SFO, so it's even; so it's the A359 to LAX vs the A330 to SFO, with the LAX probably needing to overnight.....hmm....LAX then, hate the 330s.
