Anyway, fast forward to security, I’ve popped my stuff onto the conveyor and joined the queue for the scanner, just about to head through when said young woman appears in front of me and says “Can I go first? My bag is expensive! I need my bag!” Taken aback, I just said “We all have bags dear!” and ushered her to the back of the queue. Hubby said I was out of order, I said she was! 🤣 Over to you!
She was absolutely out of order! Who says her bags are any more important than anyone else's? I'd have said exactly the same as you. Some people simply aren't used to waiting in a line but that's no excuse for being impatient. Reminds me of a time at LAX when a man was pushing to the front of the priority security line because he "was late for an important work call he needed to join". I blocked him from going past me and said we all have important business to be attending to (albeit mine was getting to the lounge, on that occasion. . .).
