I just want to be sure I understand the process. I am going to buy a TLV to LHR ticket for October 28th. I understand that there are risks the flight may not operate as it only begins Oct 26th. Is the refund automatic? What do I need to do to obtain a refund? I'm prepared for needing a non BA backup but wouldn't buy until later/closer to departure.
A late purchase back up would be expensive, particularly as if BA aren’t flying there won’t be many airlines that will be flying. If cancelled BA may well allow you to fly from Larnaca or Athens instead and you could book a flight to there from TLV.
