I just want to be sure I understand the process. I am going to buy a TLV to LHR ticket for October 28th. I understand that there are risks the flight may not operate as it only begins Oct 26th. Is the refund automatic? What do I need to do to obtain a refund? I'm prepared for needing a non BA backup but wouldn't buy until later/closer to departure.
if the flights is cancelled then you are entitled to rebooking or a refund. You would have to choose at the time what you want to do, but certainly a refund will follow in a few days if that’s the option you pick. You should be able to request a refund online.
