I am sure this has been asked a million times, so I guess it's my turn to consult the collective wisdom of the board.

I am currently in the Philippines. My passport will expire early next year and I plan to return to the UK to renew around December. The passport will have about 3 months left on it at this stage.

What do I need to consider in booking tickets? I imagine through ticketing is a must, for example.

Also, if anyone has experience of same day passport processing I would love to know it
