The fact that a benefit can not be used equally is a huge problem actually. It’s the inconsistency and lack of reliable use of a supposed benefit is why I’m incensed.
I stupidly relied on NUA again only to have Lucy yank the football again. Will never happen again. Marriott has lost my loyalty.[/QUOTE]
Excellent! One less person to step over to get the UG I want!!
I wish you better luck at Hilton or Hyatt or wherever you head next. I for one understand that it works sometimes and not others, with lots of variables playing into whether NUA's are granted or not. Unfortunately, we only seem to get the sad, sad, angry stories where it did not work as the member had hoped it would for them in their particular sample size of 1. I'd love to know how many NUA's are granted every day/week/month/year vs. how many are requested...might throw some facts and perspective into the discussion.
Personally, I'd like to see Marriott go to some sort of 'instant' UG scheme where I can say use 2 NUA's to secure a confirmed UG at time of booking...or give me so many Instant Upgrades based on my status Tier every year...until then the system works the way it works so I will get what I get and won't get upset!
