If you actually need a suite for a particular stay, you might consider booking one.

Easy to blame everything we don't like about Bonvoy on this, but if the program isn't rich enough to attract guests, the owners will suffer. The fact that the owners accept the Bonvoy program as it is tells me that those aspects which we might view as deficiencies apparently are not hurting guest occupancy.
hahahaha. You clearly don’t get it. Read what I’ve been writing. Relying on NUA is a path to fail.

I lived in Asia long time and upgrades used to be reliable except for key holiday periods. I know many of the properties, not my first rodeo.

The system changed. So now I’ll make my own changes accordingly.

I just booked to Hilton. With the room type I originally wanted but foolishly relied on NUA to get at Marriott.

Marriott not getting one dime from me on this trip. They can stick it.
