I have rarely seen saver award space on DFW-YVR, and the paid tickets are expensive because it's a monopoly route.
I would just book the LHR-YVR on BA. (LGW too) Yes, you pay more in surcharges. But the route is more direct - far fewer hours in the air. No messing around with entering the US, positioning costs / time, etc.
