I have huge interest in visiting before I expire and trying not to be too swayed by the oft-repeated notions that Bali is now Dubai or Mykonos or Cabo. In particular, Raffles, Bulgari, Tanah Gajah, Amanjiwo, RC Mandapa.
Parts of it would also be more like Ibiza and Aya Napia with a pronounced Aussie twang. Of the hotels you mention, Amanjiwo on Java would be lovely for a week, a very serene place which can arrange visits to Borobudur avoiding the crowds, much like Amansara in Cambodia. Of course, Bali's hinterland can still be sublimely beautiful . . .
