Then what happens if I book with Points but I pay with a different card, like a Citi card? Because I have a Chase card, Southwest knows I have this benefit somehow?
When you make the reservation, you need to enter the passenger's RR#, who has the priority card (or A-list status). Everyone on that reservation will be able to select extra legroom seats at T-48, if they're still available. You can pay for the reservation with
any credit card (or in combination with points). It's done entirely on the WN side. Chase has nothing to do with it (unless you book the trip on Chase Travel portal).
