Hmmm; I got a back massage fairly recently (I am male, btw). I had an allergy in one of my eyes and a facial wouldn't be possible. I asked the therapist if I could have a back/shoulder massage and she just asked for 5 minutes to set the table for the back massage.
So I guess it depends on the therapist. I must say I think the facial offers a better value than the back massage.
Thanks for the data point. I have the facial scheduled for my layover on Sunday. I'll see if they can offer any other service like a back/shoulder or even hand/arm massage in lieu of the facial. Haven't gotten a facial in years and with already sensitive skin, I'd rather it not cause a breakout!
