Trunk v Regular clam hard shell suitcase (hold luggage)
Hey folks,
I have noticed a few more wheeled trunk cases hitting the market and wanted to get some feedback on their overall practicality versus the regular clam style hard shell suitcases.
For context I often go on 4-8 week trips and rarely use cars or taxis. I would regularly be navigating through crowds in public spaces and on public transport as opposed to being dropped door to door. Would a wheeled trunk case be less suitable for me in that case?
I understand trunks are better in hotel rooms due to the lid being rested against a wall but this would be a minor pro for me as I usually unpack and then push the suitcase into a corner of the room. Unpacked weight of the two Wenger ones I am comparing is 5.4kg and so no difference. Both are 1kg heavier than my current American Tourister one but the materials are more robust.
Thanks!
