True, but when one can get 2.625% all the time from BofA all the time without limits, why would you want to get only 2% from US Bank?
Spend above 10k is only when
A - no spend for SUB
B - no spend for targets e.g. 15k spend on a surpass card
C - no special category - like airfare = Amex Platinum
etc
Even then, one can get 2% from not just US Bank, but Cit, Capital One, Fidelity Visa, Wells Fargo, Amex Business Plus etc and of these Citi, Cap 1 and Amex offer ability to transfer points to airlines
My spending priority list
A Spend for SUB is like 5-11 points / $ spend (10k spend getting 100k bonus is 11 points /$)
B Next comes 5% categories - flights on Amex, staples on Ink cards
C next is USB 10k - 4% everywhere (except taxes, tuition etc etc as listed by USB)
D then spend for target (at times above or below C)
E spend on BofA 2.625
