I was not able to do this recently. Had booked two rooms on points from my account. P2's name added to the second room as guest. Rooms booked before March price increase so not worth cancelling and rebooking
Gifted a GoH to P2, but was unable to get it attached to the reservation.
First call, the agent said it cannot be done unless the room was booked from P2's account
Second call, the agent claimed to have attached the cert -- but when checked later, it was still showing as un-attached in P2s account
Did not bother to try again as I had already wasted up too much time on this endeavor. Definite downgrade in user experience since the recent closure of the US call centers.
