Hi everyone,
I've been a long-time reader of FlyerTalk and have always been impressed by the depth of knowledge here, so I'm hoping you can help. My name is Simone Lini, and I recently left my role leading EMEA partnerships at Google Flights to build something new with a former VP from Kayak.
We're trying to solve that nagging feeling that even after you find a great price, a better deal might be out there. Our app, Navifare, is our proposed solution.
Here’s the concept in a nutshell:
- You find a flight deal anywhere online and take a screenshot.
- Our AI reads the screenshot and instantly scours the web to find the absolute best public price for that exact itinerary.
- Our partners beat that price: We then give our partner Online Travel Agencies (and soon, airlines) a chance to privately beat that best price just for you.
The goal is to generate offers that don't exist publicly. For example, an OTA might offer a special fare to win your business, or an airline might match the price but add lounge access or bonus miles. We've already signed our first partners who are excited to test this model.
We have the core technology built and are aiming for a beta release by the end of the summer.
As the most savvy group of flyers I know, your feedback would be invaluable.
- For Early Access: If you're interested in being a beta tester, you can just shoot me an email at simone at navifare dot com
- For Feedback: What are your initial thoughts on this idea? Do you see potential pitfalls? Are there features you'd immediately want to see?
Thanks for your time and expertise. I'm here to answer any questions.
Simone
