Received an email from BA regarding av upcoming flight, the regular "check your travekl docs".
This email points to
https://www.britishairways.com/conte...-visas-and-api
Which again says:
Travellers to the UK may need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), as well as their passport, to come to the UK.
...
Our partner Sherpa offers a safe, secure and easy way to obtain your ETA. Sherpa pre-screen your application
to help avoid costly mistakes and have a team of specialists available to support you. Sherpa is a third-party service provider and may charge fees for their services.
Apply for an ETA through Sherpa
(My highlighting in the text)
This links lead to Sherpa charging USD9 extra for eTA (and USD20 extra for ESTA if going to the US). A new low from BA, misleading people to use expensive 3rd party services for something as simple as eTA/ESTA. Especialy when they state "
to help avoid costly mistakes"
(And no, I did not use the service, I have an eTA already)
