I just booked an AA flight on AA.com (it did not show up on the Alaska website), which I rarely do, because the only Alaska flight was a red-eye, which I hate, and the AA flight was during the day. I should still make 100K by the end of the year without those miles. RDMs are another consideration, but my avoidance of red-eyes trumps that too.
