"Dear Passenger, due to high demand, if you choose an alternative flight instead of your scheduled flight, you will be eligible for a travel voucher from Turkish Airlines. To take advantage of this offer, please visit Istanbul Airport Denied Boarding Office 3 hours before your flight departure time."
No mention of which flight this refers to! I'm booked to fly CAI-IST-DEN today, back on the 1st, but they are still selling that fare cheaply (£1300 business class).
I'm booked to fly DUB-IST-BOG on the 5th and back on the 7th. I'm guessing the text refers to the flight on the 5th - Istanbul to Bogotá isn't an option on Google Flights for 1st/2nd/3rd/4th, and the 5th is £5k one-way compared with £3.7k or lower on subsequent dates.
Any pitfalls I should be aware of in taking their offer, either regarding the challenge or otherwise? What should I expect from them? If I landed up with an immediate turnaround and missed it, would they be responsible for getting me back to Dublin? Should I be concerned (from a challenge perspective) that they might force me to take a non-TK flight?
Home is London btw - so I do have positioning flights booked to Dublin, but they would be cheap to replace if necessary.
Thanks!
