NZJ is off to long term storage. 7 months apparently - like NZG and NZK, and then off to Singapore to get the refit later on, AFAIK. I'll confirm later on.
Guess I was a bit hopeful that when NZK, NZG came out of ASP for refits that the engine issues were over for the 789s and there'd be 14 operational aircraft.
But only reason I can think of for NZJ going to long term storage is.... an engine issue! And they're just rotating the problematic engines onto the aircraft going into storage and having refits. Hopefully the engines are sorted by the time all 14 refits are complete.
