Within 20 minutes I got a not from CS saying I was banned permanently for alleged racism. I asked for recordings and they said my account was permanently deactivated and there would be no reconsideration. I chatted with 6 different CS agents who all said the same thing.

Totally banned. I went into Twitter and asked CS there to help me. I'm not sure what happened but after an hour they apologized, they said they would make everything right and unban me.

Anyway, I'll now be using Uber so that changes the calculations. How is possible that one person can make an allegation and have me banned without Lyft offering evidence?
Wow, what a horrible experience to put it mildly . I would throw the same accusation back on that driver plus say that you were a hairbreadth away from a serious accident. This is not acceptable behavior at all, and Lyft is wrong to have done what they did to you.

With regard to switching to Uber, many drivers drive for both platforms and unfortunately I don't think Uber itself is any better when it comes to their customer service and handing of such circumstances. Many complaints out there on both of the rideshare companies...
