My experience of YVR in 2024 was not good, and the stories I hear about AC in business are even worse. Are those the reasons why AC is priced cheaper? Or are they trying to price out PR?
I have flown AC. They're fine. Their customer service is nothing to write home about, but increasingly neither is United's. I don't generally eat much on planes, but what I've seen from Polaris is rarely appetizing, so I can't imagine AC would be markedly worse. Even with Jazz service between SEA and YVR, I'd take that in a heartbeat -- or, if you prefer to deal with the Peace Arch rather than Sea-Tac and traffic on I-5 or I-405, that's an option too. I certainly wouldn't pay $3000 extra, of my own money, to fly UA.
