MIA-EZE

AA MIA-EZE ~11pm Departure, July 2025
Dinner, Breakfast
787 (3-class)
Business Class, 5L

This business class cabin was supposed to have the some rear-facing seats but to our surprise all seats were forward facing (and it was a newer plane). The only bummer about that was I was traveling with my parents and none of us wanted to fly backwards so we selected windows in rows 1, 3, 5 and ended up being pointlessly separated from each other. Also I was in row 5 which on this plane actually had no window at all - kind of sad to just have the wall (even though it was dark out).

I was very excited for the shrimp main course option offered on this flight - something different. I usually go with the fish option and I've had the macadamia-crusted sea bass with toasted orzo enough times ha.

Service on this flight was super mediocre.

Menu

Achiote Seared Shrimp - it was not outstanding but good enough. I would get it again because I like shrimp and I like protein paired with rice. Love to have the pretzel roll with the Kerrygold butter. The spinach salad was really good. I didn't bother with the probably very salty artichoke tomato thing. Saved the Lindt chocolate truffle for later and wow - it was a really excellent one - perhaps the European recipe or something.

The Flagship sundae with hot fudge, whipped cream, and pecans is my permanent AA business class dessert order.

I always opt for the yogurt breakfast because there's no way an egg dish that's been sitting on a plane for like 10 hours is going to taste good. I always like when it's the Chobani vanilla Greek and this crunchy granola. Only some of the fruit looked good enough to eat. I think they later offered the pastry (post-photo) and I'm pretty sure I had the cinnamon one which is always pretty good.
