My first domestic flight of 2025 long enough to have meal service. I pre-ordered my usual salmon grain bowl which changed a bit since recent years.


Salmon grain bowl - AA changed up some of the bowl's ingredients. The vegetables were improved because they were smaller pieces (and the bowl includes shiitake mushrooms - I love mushrooms) - much better than having to cut up that huge hunk of undercooked broccolini and raw watermelon radish slices, but the sauce changed to a curry flavor which just isn't my favorite. The salmon is like cold leftover salmon and had to be cut with a fork and knife. The taste is not bad but not really good either.


Nuts in a paper cup - supposedly the ramekins were too hot


Won the AA ice cream/sorbet lottery with vanilla chocolate chip Haagen Dazs <3 Even in the already freezing cold cabin, couldn't pass that up!


My dad's chicken parmesan - he told the flight attendant was one of the best if not the best airplane meals he'd ever had (I'm really just looking at it now, it DOES look good!). He's not a big mac and cheese guy either, but he really liked that part as well.

Certainly not a bad flight overall.
