I goofed with my TTP processing because I missed that passport renewals require reapplication. My passport expires between my upcoming October trip and my one early 2027.

I’ve been preliminarily approved based on US GEP membership. Though US passport online renewals are reported as speedy, there’s no time for that plus a TTP reapplication.

How ill-advised would it be to withdraw my current TTP application, renew my passport, and reapply as an employee of a US publicly traded company? The online form says that processing time is one month. (Alternatively I can withdraw this application and do the “employee” application closer to my next trip since that class just requires a single recent entry.)
