Recently had a three night stay here. I walked away very impressed by the hotel and more importantly the staff. It definitely is one of the strongest GHs in the system.
Room: I had a king room deluxe tower view, and it is likely the biggest non suite hotel room I have ever had. The room was beautiful, and was kept up very well outside of some odd tape type substance on some parts of the shower floor. The wood quality was high and the bathroom was extremely nice with the marble and large shower/tub combo. The water pressure was good off the rain shower, but the temperature never got quite as hot as I would have wanted, but it was fine. One note, the shower wand went flying on me before I figured out I had to hold onto it while turning on the water before switching it to the rain shower from the wand. Keep an eye out on that, it flew off its handle and hit me in the face when I turned it on for the first time. Lol. I didn't use it, but the TV was pretty small if you do want to make use of it. One other minor negative for me was the blackout curtains had to be done by hand (not a big deal) and getting it fully drawn behind the TV was rather difficult, if not impossible. I always had a small gap of light by the TV due to that, which was a slight annoyance. But the room was beautifully appointed, well maintained, and clean. I especially appreciated how many large bottles of purified water, four, I had every day. Greatly appreciated in a country where the drinking water safety for tourists is questionable. The app would even let you call for as many as six at a time. And last, but not least, the view is truly amazing. Being in bed and being able to look at the Petronas Towers was a real treat and it was beautiful at both night and during the day.
Dining: Wonderful breakfast spread of both Western and Asian options, the pastries and sweet options in particular were extremely good (a little too good

). Eating breakfast looking right at the towers was special. The staff was extremely nice and always happy to please. The fresh squeezed juice, that you customize however you wished, was really cool too. I had room service one night, it was served quickly and the Malaysian food was very good. I had the rest of my meals outside the hotel, but this hotel certainly has very good food if you wish to stay in house.
Service: Excellent across the board, in every department. Good English (not too surprising for KL) and service always came with a big smile. The staff here genuinely want to make your stay special and it's one of those places where you get the sense "no" is not an answer you will hear. I don't have enough good to say about the staff here, and again it is in every department, from the bellmen, to the front desk associates, to the F+B staff, and housekeeping.
Amenities: I'm not a huge pool person, but this was certainly a very nice pool for a, largely, business hotel in a city. A pleasant place to spend some time and the staff there are always around to help, with good food options that you can order. I did not use the spa but I've heard good things and the brief interactions I had with the staff there were positive. The fitness center looked very solid too, although I can't remember if it was 24 hours or not (I do not believe it is).
Location: I liked the location. You can walk underground to the Suria Mall as well as in a covered walkway to the Pavilion Mall. Grab was easy to use from the hotel and cheap, although traffic is certainly bad at times but that's pretty much anywhere in SE Asia. The airport was about an hour each way for me, although neither time was at the height of rush hour. From my view, KLCC and Bukit Bintang are where you want to be in KL, and the new PH's location is definitely not in my favorite part of the city (Chinatown). That alone would probably make me prefer the GH, although I can't handle buildings that tall anyways.
Overall, this was a great hotel. One of the best GHs I've stayed at with a wonderful staff and beautiful rooms that have been very well maintained. I fully recommend it and would absolutely return if back in KL.
