DL miles don't expire either.

It depends on whether you need to use the perks, if you are flying SQ you can credit it to UA and get your *A perks. For the ST leg you can also wait until you have flown and retrocredit to your FFP after you have seen the actual booking class.

The mapping of booking class is like a puzzle.
