Thinking of returning to Tokyo and trying to decide which Hyatt to stay in Tokyo. The Andaz is one of my favorite hotels in the world and I often spend at least a few nights here when visiting Tokyo.I have also stayed at the park hyatt and grand hyatt, I have not been back to Japan since a few months before the pandemic hit, so I am not sure how this property has held up over time. I have explorist status and I can use some of my lounge certificates so I was thinking maybe the Andaz would not be ideal without a lounge? Also, I looked at the point redemptions and its like 40-45k a night which give a very subpar return vs going out of pocket. With this fact pattern should I look at other properties? The nostalgia for the Andaz draws me back but I'm not sure its really worth going out of pocket for. Grand hyatt had an alright location although I hate Roppongi with a passion, so I avoid it as much as possible.
