The certificate is valid for one flight segment upgrade to the next premium cabin on flights operated by Air Canada, Air New Zealand, ANA, Asiana Airlines, Austrian Airlines, bmi, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airlines, Spanair, Thai Airways International, United, and VARIG. Simply present the certificate at check-in and at the departure gate. Your name will be added to the standby upgrade list. Retain the certificate until boarding at the gate.

Valid for travel from 1 February 2004 to 28 February 2005. All travel must be completed by 28 February 2005.
One certificate is required for each Star Alliance airline operated flight segment, except two certificates are required for Air New Zealand flights NZ1 and NZ2 between London and Auckland and for THAI flights TG911/910 and TG917/916 between London and Bangkok.
Economy Y M B H booking classes will be upgraded to Business Class. For Scandinavian Airlines also applicable on S booking class. Not applicable on THAI H booking class. bmi transatlantic flights Y M B H booking classes will be upgraded to the new economy. I got my Gold level pack yesterday (AA PLT = *A Gold) after appling on the 25th of Feb. It doesn't really make it clear that as a Gold you can use the lounges. Again you have to go to the web to find that out. Conflict also between the terms of the voucher on " no extra baggage allowed." and website saying Golds can have 20kgs extra allowence.
Nothing from bmi yet.
Not that impressed with the upgrade offer as AA's VIPOWs were upgradeable from any fare.
Also the lack of Singapore Airlines in this promotion makes me wonder if the first cracks in *A area appearing.
