Thats not the part I’m disagreeing with. I don’t think between D-5 and gate control that DL upgrades single fliers lower on the upgrade list, skipping a higher ranked couple, if only one F seat opens up. I believe upgrades are frozen until the couple clears. Then at the gate, the GA does as you say and either splits the couple or moves down the list.
