I'm sure there are customers who buy fares in Y and hope to score an upgrade to J. Look at all the threads on this forum asking how much upgrades would cost at OLCI. Take that possiblity away from them on a Superlight fare, perhaps that might trigger them to buy up to the next fare level.
I'm quite confident that extra revenue from people who would buy higher fare because maybe they will be able to score a decent deal at OLCI would be substantially lower than lost revenue from people who would not be able to upgrade due to being on a light fare.
