Both legs were on a 016 (United) ticket where United was the main carrier. Both flights had GOL flight numbers and were operated by GOL.
I had to submitted the mileage credit request for the GOL flights manually to AA as it was a United-issued ticket. The mileage credit was denied by AA, and the given reason was 'Ineligible Codeshare.'
Is this because it was on a 016 ticket? Or are they denying miles that I should be eligible for? Or is something else going on?
They are denying miles because AA's automated "missing miles request" is downright awful for partner flights, at least half the time the system will say a flight is ineligible for one reason or another when it should be fine. If the missing miles request fails you have to call AAdvantage Customer Service to get it credited properly. Call your elite or reservations number and ask the agent to transfer you to AAdvantage Customer Service.
