Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre

3-nights stay in July 2025. I rate it as a better 4-star hotel which provides good quality and value.

Overall, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent membership recognition, I'm a plat. I did send an email with my preferences: early check-in, non-smoking, no-connecting, quite room, high floor, facing downtown. Got everything I asked for, but had to wait a couple of hours if I wanted a room facing the direction of the downtown or check in immediately in another room when I arrived 7am.

I did the latter after talking to Donna, who did check me in. She was pleasant and helpful. I had questions about the directions of the room, due to possible disturbing noises from air-conditioning compressors outside, which some reviewers on TA do mention. As she explained, floor 11 is way above them and the noise is not disturbing. IMO, the noise is similar to an air-condition in the room. It's a background noise which not disturbs me. Other background noise is occasionally from air-planes, but not loud and not disturbing for me. Also when it comes to view, Dubai is in general quite foggy.

I was upgraded from an entry level room to an executive room at the executive floor 11, where the lounge is. Welcome amenity waited in the room.

The room's air-conditioning is quite and good, 21 - 22c. You can adjust the temperature. It's 45c+ here on daytime and Dubai is quite humid. So big plus for the air-conditioning.

The room is about 30sqm, in good condition and cleaned well, besides the windows and the outdoor rail etc. There are a long balcony (not accessible from the room) around the floor, so cleaning could be done quite easy. The bed is firm, but not hard, and comes with two gigantic pillows and two hard ones. I find a normal sized pillow in the wardrobe, which I did use.

The usual amenities, inclusive a Nespresso. 5-6 glass bottles of 500ml complimentary water/day. The TV, which is about 40 inches, had a variety of channels and on many different languages.

The water pressure in the shower is weak and you have to stand in a bathtub when showering, which I don't like particularly. The bathtub is however not slippery.

The room is well isolated from other guest rooms, but I could hear the cleaners working in the corridor.

As a platinum+ you have complimentary breakfast in the lounge, but can also use the main breakfast restaurant. I did keep to the lounge due to the quietness, not many guests in the lounge for breakfast. The breakfast spread in the lounge is small, but of good quality. You can order egg of different variations and they also make toast for you, served to the table. I got complimentary breakfast the morning I arrived, a nice benefit.

Afternoon tea in the lounge had a good spread, cookies and scones. Cocktail hours did offer a small spread of warm and cold food, see pictures, which did change from day to day. No limitations on alcohol 😬. I did try the white wine and sparkling wine, which both was of OK quality, and then it was vodka. When asked for more vodka, I was brought a carafe. The lounge is modest in size and was busy during the cocktail hours on Saturday night, not that busy on Sunday and Monday night.

I did not use the hotel restaurants. There are restaurants, a food court and fast food outlets like McDonald's, BK, KFC and Subway in the connecting mall, which also have a Carrefour supermarket.

I took a mojito as a welcome drink in a sports bar, did told the bartender to make it strong, which he did. You can take the welcome drink at different bars.

I did inspect the pool area in the middle of the day, which was as a sauna. The pool is on the smaller size. A bar is there also. Some brave guests did enjoy the facility, outside temperature 46c. Then I proceeded to the gym, which has quite a lot of equipments, but no guests. Due to a recent shoulder surgery, did not use the gym. A sauna and a steam room is within the area of the changing room. The steam room is out of order, the sauna is very small, but hot enough. There is also a tennis court on level two, no players in the heat.

I paid EUR 63/night, good value ofc. Would return if I come back to Dubai and get similar value.

Location/transport

Hotel conveniently located 2 stations from the airport with the Metro. You can walk through a mall, City Centre Deira (same name at the metro station), to the hotel, which is connected to the mall on floor 2. Mall is open 8am to midnight. I arrived before 8am, so took a walk on the left side of the Mall when exited the Metro. It took 10 minutes with a carry-on luggage. It was not too hot outside at this time. Total time from flight landed to the hotel: 60 minutes.

At departure I also took a walk. The Metro station was open when I arrived 4.48am, first train to airport 5.02am. The train take 4 minutes to terminal 1, and cost AED 3 with Nol Silver card. This is a smart card you buy at the airport in a machine, pay with CC or cash, cost AED 25, of which you get a travel credit of AED 19. Total time from hotel to the airport lounge: 45 minutes.
