Gold, booked SJO IAH about 12 hrs ago for tomorrow AM. 15 booked of 16 seats. I've been #1 on the upgrade list (and the only one). Still no upgrade. I guess UA is waiting for one more paid F.

(I did have a text chat with an agent. Many apologies from him as he saw the list, but no explanation and nothing he could do.)
I sat at #1 on the list with PP's in play for probably a month. Saw F go from basically nearly empty to on the last day 14/16. They were selling upgrades on this SFO - KOA flight for $400. While always frustrating I eventually did get upgraded (as did my business partner at #2) as we boarded. I suspect you MAY have the same fate. FWIW those were my first PPs to clear this year, even UA has now conceded that they are pretty worthless for upgrades.
