I returned from my trip. I stayed at the Radisson in Graz, Austria booked through Expedia. I emailed them with my VIP number before my trip to confirm that I would be getting benefits and they said yes.

I got there around 11am and was told my room would be ready within an hour. I hadn't specifically told them my arrival time, so no problem that they weren't ready. That gave me time for lunch.
They put me in a room on the top floor. It wasn't a huge room, but none of the rooms in this hotel were very big, so I think this counts as an upgrade.
The manager left a hand-written note on the bed, indicating that a welcome gift was waiting for me in the fridge. There was a nice plate with 2 macarons and some fresh fruit.
I got breakfast included every day during my stay. This was the biggest perk for me and the food and selection was really great.

After returning from my trip, I got an email from Radisson saying my earnings. I got 1 stay and 7 nights for requalification purposes. While I didn't get any points for the stay itself because I booked 3rd party, I DID get 2000 bonus points from a Radisson promotion I had signed up for.

So, altogether I'm REALLY pleased by this experience. Would do this again!
