  1. Will United increase the threshold for first time qualification and/or requalification?
    • I certainly hope so and with that an improved GS experience
  2. Is the Flyertalk consensus amount of $50K still valid or re-evaluation is needed?
    • I believe the number at a hub for first time is probably 10-20%higher than the previous $50K guesstimate.
  3. Based on Q2 result, United reported increase premium cabin revenue, how does that impact the threshold?
    • If GS is limited to a certain number of flyers based on a dollar spend and that spend number has increased across the board then its reasonable to expect the GS qualifying threshold to increase accordingly.
  4. Will rumored Basic Polaris Business Class fare be considered for GS qualification (once implemented)?
    • I don't think UA cares as much about the fare types you buy as they claim they do. I think it might be a factor when deciding between two people with similar spend but $100K on W fares is still going to get you GS
  5. Impact of geopolitics and tariff impact on members of Flyertalk community on travel?
    • Zero impact on my travel patterns so far.
  6. Anyone successfully completed the $18K/120-day challenge in 2025? There seems to be less observed/reported this year so far.
    • I did not participate in a challenge
  7. Lastly, whether the highly debated "CPM" figure is still considered as measurement used by UA or is it still considered a Flyertalk owned metrix?
    • As I mentioned previously, I'm sure its a factor but certainly not the deciding factor
