I know a lot of people find these cards unnecessary, but I do think they add such a beautiful personal touch. It humanizes them. I have one that I shall never even toss, with a very deep touching message from the KLM crew on the day that I found out that my dog passed, and was in quite the emotional shambles as a result. I agree in 100%. This is something small that makes the difference.
Maybe not everybody will like the comparison, but this is like the new strategy of Starbucks (simpler menu, but with a big push towards the personalized notes of the paper cups). Goal is to make it more human, make us feel welcome, and show effort that they care about us.
Not always crew has time for them, but when they find those few minutes to prepare it - I really appreciate it
I don’t like to keep physical version of photos etc., but cards from KLM & AF - I’m keeping them all
