Ahh. I knew that UA had asked, but I didn't think that ORD had responded yet.

Despite what AA and Gary think in that article, I'm pretty confident that UA is going to get those gates eventually; it's just a matter of time. UA is running more flights out of their gates than AA is. (I do agree with an earlier analysis I saw that the process is hopelessly flawed, because the gate transfers are supposed to take place in July but the traffic year is measured from January, so you don't really get a chance to see how well the new allocations are working. Space may accordion for a while on a yearly basis.

FWIW, the walk from C concourse to G6 is shorter than the walk to the far E/F gates. G concourse is Terminal 3, but the distance between that wing and T2 is shorter than the T1-T2 walk.
