Ahh, so the hotels are protecting inventory in anticipation of high demand. Makes sense, but I find it a bit drastic to block the whole month. I was looking at early May well before 12 May, but I just booked something else for now (different chain) at a pretty reasonable, flexible rate to have something secured.
