In my recent experience, the group number is incorrect if issuing the BP outside the "normal" OLCI window - but if you regenerate it starting 00:01 local the day before departure, it should update to your correct group number.
This is also what I've been told by IB Oro line call centre agents, that regenerating a BP 24 hours before the flight should update the BP to correctly reflect status and benefits.
